The process starts with me coming out to your house, seeing what you currently have, and giving you ideas on how we can update and modernize it. From there, we collaborate together to create something that fits your needs. Sometimes it’s as simple as sketching ideas on a piece of paper to bring your thoughts into the structure of the design. Many people can’t always picture exactly what they need, so we strive to help hit the mark with creative ideas. We have been in business since 1994, and I have been involved with building and designing projects since I was a small child. The first step in the building process is meeting with you to hear your wants and needs. Then I come up with ideas and sketch them out. Next, we talk about what designs will best suit your home and lifestyle, starting with the exterior appearance of the house, which is very important, and then incorporating the interior living space. Many people think they need an architect first, but I believe I can visualize and design a better plan for your home from beginning to end. We discuss the products and materials you want to incorporate both outside and inside your addition. After that, I finalize the sketches and prepare an estimate. We can then make adjustments to better suit your needs. Once the estimate is accepted, we begin the process. I handle providing the necessary information to the building department and pulling the permits, and then we begin building your dream home.
